What is COB LED screen?

COB (Chip on Board) is an LED display packaging technology that is different from traditional LED display technology. COB technology installs multiple LED chips directly on a circuit board, eliminating the need for separate packaging. This technology increases brightness and reduces heat, making the display more seamless.

Advantages compared to traditional LED screens

COB LED screens have obvious advantages over traditional LED screens in terms of performance. It has no gaps between LED chips, ensuring uniform illumination and avoiding problems such as the “screen door effect”. In addition, COB screens offer more accurate colors and higher contrast.

Due to the smaller size of LED chips, the density of COB packaging technology has increased significantly. In terms of technical process, SMD technology requires reflow soldering. When the solder paste temperature reaches 240°C, the epoxy resin loss rate can reach 80%, which can easily cause the glue to separate from the LED cup.
